A journey that becomes dance
Saturday 9 May 2026 · PostBus line 436 Lugano–Agra ♿ & Piazza Camuzzi, Montagnola ♿
(Meeting point at 5:45 at the lakeside escalators of Stazione di Lugano)
An everyday route transforms into an artistic experience suspended between journey and dream, where dance unfolds within the gaze of the listener. On board PostBus 436 on the Lugano–Agra route, passengers become spectators of an invisible dance: through headphones, they listen to a poetic audio description by choreographer and dancer Camilla Guarino that narrates gestures, rhythms, and movements of the choreography created for the project (also available in text form). The experience is designed to be accessible to everyone, designed to be accessible to all, regardless of language and sensory ability. Upon arrival in Montagnola, in the square outside the Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola, the choreography finally takes shape through the performers. A transition from listening to seeing, from the intimacy of travel to a shared experience in public space: a deeply social artistic gesture.
The project originates from a collaboration between the Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola, Festa Danzante Ticino, Teatro Danzabile and Festival Orme on the road, with the aim of bringing dance into unconventional spaces and engaging new audiences while promoting inclusivity and sustainability through the use of public transport.
Registration details will be announced at a later stage.
In collaboration with: Festa Danzante Ticino, Teatro Danzabile and Festival Orme on the road
