A footpath divided into 11 stages that winds through the territory of Collina d'Oro in Hermann Hesse's favourite places.
The Municipality of Collina d'Oro has set up a walk, with eleven stations, that leads the visitor through Hermann Hesse's favourite and significant places. It is possible to plan this walk in different ways: on one's own, with a guide or with audioguides.
Guided walking-tour
Our guide will take you on a walk through Hermann Hesse's favourite places, his homes, to his burial place.

Long walk, from 90 to 120 minutes (Museo > Graveyard > Grotti > Museo): CHF 160.-
Medium length walk, 45 minutes (Museo > Graveyard): CHF 110.-
Short walk, 30 minutes (Museo > Casa Rossa > Museo): CHF 90.-

Walking-tour with Audioguide
Audioguides available in Italian and German, are provided thanks to a close collaboration between the Municipality of Collina d'Oro, Rete 2 (Radio della Svizzera italiana) and the Fondazione Hermann Hesse Montagnola. These audioguides accompany the visitors through the landscape of Collina d'Oro on Hermann Hesse’s trails and allow them to discover its artistic beauties and tourist attractions.
They can be requested at the Museum Hermann Hesse Montagnola during opening hours (rental fee CHF 5.–; in combination with Museum admission CHF 3.50).
