Concert in collaboration with Ceresio Estate
Sunday 21 June 2026 · 19.00 · Sala Boccadoro, Via dei Somazzi 4, Montagnola ♿
This concert, organized in collaboration with Ceresio Estate, brings music and poetry into dialogue. Serena Farnocchia, Paolo Raffo and Emanuele Santoro shape the evening through the refined interplay of voice and piano, guiding the audience through two poetic worlds of the early twentieth century. On one side stands the sensual hedonism of Gabriele D'Annunzio in the musical settings by Francesco Paolo Tosti (Due piccoli notturni, 1911, and La sera, 1916) and Pier Adolfo Tirindelli (Rimanete, vi prego, 1913), shaped by a cult of beauty, sensual pleasure, and the fascination of fleeting moments. On the other side, Hermann Hesse opens a more introspective perspective through the compositions of Richard Strauss (Four Last Songs) and Lee Bradshaw (Four German Poems by Hermann Hesse). The concert thus unfolds as a journey from sensual experience to inner reflection, while revealing the timeless power of Hesse’s work within an intimate and atmospheric setting.
The Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola will be open free of charge from 17.30 to 18.45.
