Children’s Exhibition
10–15 Februar 2026 · Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola
This year, Vivere il Museo da protagonisti invites the pupils of the Scuola elementare di Collina d’Oro to observe the world through the sensitive gaze of Hermann Hesse. The new edition of the project gives rise to an exhibition dedicated to light and colour: a creative nucleus born from the work of class 2A and presented in the spaces of the Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola.
The young participants are guided by Hesse’s watercolours and by his book The Seasons, where light becomes colour and colour tells the story of nature in its endless transformation. Drawing on these inspirations, the children transform their sensitivity into images and words that speak directly to the senses, with a simple yet surprising intensity.
The project unfolds as a true laboratory of shared creation: the children step into the roles of artists, designers and curators. They conceive their works, design the poster, prepare invitations, organise the exhibition and shape a vernissage that celebrates not only what they have produced, but also their growth, imagination and the journey that has brought them there.
Curated by Lucilla Janssen, in collaboration with teacher Martina Müller and class 2A of the Scuola elementare di Collina d’Oro
