Outdoor exhibition
15 June 2025 – 12 October 2025 · Historic center of Montagnola
#GiardiniPoetici is a new temporary participatory outdoor exhibition, created in collaboration with eleven local associations from the Municipality of Collina d’Oro. The installations unfold across seven locations in the historic center of Montagnola and present the community as a living and diverse garden: each association is represented by a word and a flower, symbols of its identity. The result is a living garden made of words, historical echoes, and connections to the poet, who lived in Montagnola for over forty years – a composition that reflects the richness and diversity of the community.
A garden grows through variety, care, and time – just like inhabited places and the relationships that keep them alive. When a literary museum like the Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola collaborates with local associations from the Collina d’Oro, everyday life becomes enriched with surprises, turning the village into a symbolic garden of words and flowers – much like the associations that bring the region to life.
#GiardiniPoetici is part of #HesseMontagnola2027, a project that strengthens the bond between the Museum, the region, and local communities in view of the poet’s 150th birthday.
An exhibition curated by Veronica Carmine, co-created by the Museo Hermann Hesse Montagnola together with 11 associations from Collina d’Oro: AGISCO, ASSI, ATTE, Collina In Festa, Collina d’Oro Musica, FC Collina d’Oro, Grüpp di Griss e di Peraa della Collina d’Oro, Stangon da Carabieta, Tennis Club Collina d’Oro, The Golden Hill Voices, Unihockey Collina d’Oro.
The exhibition can be visited outdoors, freely and at any time, along the path beginning at Piazza Brocchi.
As part of the project, a collateral agenda of mediation activities, classes and moments of sharing comes to life. With these gatherings, the Museum aims to create opportunities to experience natural rhythms, discover forms of creative expression, and foster a sense of belonging and caring for the environment around us, in the spirit of the poet and his keen sense of observation of nature.
